"How We Take Pictures When We Take Pictures for Craigslist"

We may all be content creators now, thanks to the democratizing effects of popular technology, but that doesn't mean we all know what we're doing when we assume the role of creator. I like to observe the choices people make on Craigslist, for example, when they take on the challenges of photographing their merchandise. I love the stubborn shadows, disembodied limbs, pets who wandered into the shot, and clumsy attempts at conveying the scale of an odd item. Some of the images I pull from the site unintentionally tell a story about the person's home. Others are unintentional works of art.
